The Author
Ermes da Costa is a pen name and brand.
The author has been writing, on and off, for various blogs, newspapers and sites since 1998, under his own name and other pen names, the most well known was Cadáver86. The Ermes brand was created back in September 2021 and is the only name now in use.
He began working in 3D in late 2017 with the software Daz Studio. Before, he was making fan-art with Inkscape and with traditional methods. Became a professional artist in late 2021.
The Purge
After becoming a full time professional, Ermes became a Patreon dependent artist with works coming out every month for two and a half years and many happy patrons.
Unfortunately, in March 2024, after various warnings and policy changes, Ermes was forced to remove or censor most of his works to comply with the payments processors demands, relayed by Patreon, not to be expelled by the platform.
After this process, Ermes went to Gumroad and began creating a store, just to be stopped a month later by the same demands that Patreon had to enforce.
Searching all the web commerce websites, no site accepted NSFW art, and worst if it was 3D, because it could be mixed with AI generated and no place wanted anything to do with it.
Trying to create a site of his own, no free host accepted nsfw art and the ones who accepted were expensive. With no money, Ermes found out that Blogger still accepted NSFW, though no monetization is allowed directly.
Back where it began
Between June and August 2024, Ermes began designing and constructing two twin blog sites to publish his art. This brought him back to 2004, when he had his first blog in blogger, where he wrote short stories, and to 2015, where he published his fan-art made with Inkscape and, later, 3d.
Blue and Purple
The Blue Blog Site - Ermes Lounge - is the lounge, where every link to every art that is Safe For Work is going to be published. This blog site will be linked by Patreon and other pages so that people can find the works easily. This is a Censored site to comply with Blogger's rules on open blogs.
The Purple Blog Site - Earth 351 Stories - is the NSFW place. Free works that were removed from Patreon, Deviant Art, Tumblr, Gumroad, Facebook and the many other sites where Ermes' work was censored, will be re-uploaded back and posted here. Premium works that are permitted on Deviant Art and Patreon will have a link to their respective posts so readers and supporters can find them easily and contribute to Ermes' well-being.
Monetization and support
Like with many other artists, monetization of artwork became very difficult within the last few years due to various factors that are mentioned above.
